The Canada goose  is the largest wild goose of North America, having a wing span of 4 to 6 feet, a pair of Canada geese will mate for life.   This lone Canada goose with it's inquisitive gentle nature was a frequent visitor to the summer residents of the Ivy Lea area, along the St. Lawrence River.  The watercolor painting is done on hot press board.  The background as intended to be filled in completely but after finishing the goose and a small amount of water, I decided that it was enough.
