Have you ever been driving and suddenly wham , there it is : amber and magnified by the atmosphere and floating like a giant eye... a full moon rising!  Some years summer arrives like that in the North Country: cool gray days are suddenly swept away with a warm breeze and in a miraculous metamorphosis, summer erupts like a full moon rising and is so encompassing that the memory of winter becomes hazy and distant.  The four foot snow banks that were piled along the now sun-drenched sidewalks lined with a rainbow tulips are difficult to remember.
