There are special places where the past seems profoundly felt in the present.  Where objects project an aura that is frozen in time.  For many years I have admired the work of Andrew Wyeth, I feel in many ways this painting reflects his influence.

The weathered textures of gray clapboard and soft light of a heavy winter day are the setting of this sober study of a farmhouse porch with three chairs.  Reproduced from a full sheet watercolor painting.
