A once rare sight, the Blue Heron is now a regular summer visitor throughout the St. Lawrence Valley. Through conservation efforts, the Great Blue has propagated and it's numbers have soared. With it's anciently large size and dinosaur-like design, the Ardea Herodias is always an awesome sight when spotted fishing off a shallow point, or soaring overhead.
